CHANGE STORY OF OUR SCHOOL

Change, Stories and Human life are inextricably connected.

Change is the essence of life. It is inevitable and constant.

It is also true that human beings are natural story tellers. Stories add meaning to our lives and boost feelings of trust and compassion. They motivate us and they have the unique ability to build connections between people. So stories are essential in every sphere of life, be it science, religion, business, marketing, education and so on.

Mother Veronica
- FOUNDRESS -
(Apostolic C. Congregation)

Michael Margolis, the CEO and Founder of Get Storied has put it very aptly... “The stories we tell, literally make the world. If you want to change the world, you need to change your story. This truth applies both to individuals and institutions”.

In order to present a glimpse of our story, we will embrace storientation, reflect over the past, meander through our present, gain insights and actively march forward.

"A Change is brought about because ordinary people do extraordinary things". - Barack Obama

Our story begins with Sophie Leeves nee the Venerable Mother Veronica of the Passion (1823 – 1906), an extremely versatile woman, an excellent letter-writer, musician and with a flair for languages. In her search for truth and happiness, she placed herself in God’s hands and devoted herself to carrying out His will. The teaching order that she started i.e. the Congregation of the Sisters of the Carmelite Third Order has had nothing short of a global impact and provides quality education with focus on values, service to the poor and empowerment of the human race without favour prejudice.

The generosity and the foresight of Mrs. Thelma Da Costa Lourenco popularly known as Donna Thelma makes her and integral part of our story for she is the one who donated the land on which our institution stands. She was very keen to provide quality education to women in Goa.
