The environment club of Carmel Higher Secondary School was started with aim of inculcating sensitivity, awareness and love of our mother earth in our students. The major activity of the environment club is daily segregation of dry waste by the students. The waste is segregated in to separate bins for plastic, paper, tetra-packs and silver-foil wastes. This waste is then collected by a recycling organization called "BAVISH".
"BAVISH" collects waste from homes, schools and institutions. Its Segregates, stores and recycles the collected dry waste. The Students learn the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling the dry waste, through the environmental club.
